back to Kids@Medicare

Kids@Medicare was launched in 2009 to assist poor patients’ children. Provided are additional aid such as tuition fees, back to school assistance; new school bags, and rewards for excellent school result. School holiday activities and excursions are included so as not to deprive them of what other normal children have and enjoy. To date, over 240 patients’ children have benefited from this programme.

Kids@Medicare Back to School Programme was held as part of an excursion this year. 22 kids were taken on a fun day out to The Green Connection, KK accompanied by Tan Sri Datuk Ibrahim Menudin, Medicare’s Board of Trustee.

Kids@Medicare Merdeka is aimed at instilling patriotism among our patient’s children. The event was held at our centre in Bercham with fun activities with the kids and their parents.

Our nurses and staff at JB2 got the patients’ kids involved in making gifts for the patients in both the centres – JB Lions – MAA Medicare Charity Dialysis Centre.

We have successfully put up a coloring/card making for Kids@Medicare where children from each state eagerly took part in this competition. We received such warmth love showed on these cards and made it hard for us to choose the best of all. We had chosen the top 12 most unique and special cards to be part of a bigger card which was then given to Roche Malaysia as a gesture of appreciation towards their endless support and love towards Kids@Medicare

On the 14th March 2014, 12 kidney patients’ kids were presented with Kids@Medicare T-shirt in conjunction with the World Kidney Day celebration at MAA Kota Bharu. Besides that, they also organized a drawing and coloring contest for kids where prizes are given to the winners.
